Great overview of history; would've been even better if the tour guide had had a better microphone (it was almost impossible to hear him at times, even when he used the mike). Also would have been nice if the tour company office had restrooms we could have used before the tour--it's notoriously difficult to find public restrooms in what is a very popular tourist destination (very frustrating!).

Hello glad to hear you enjoyed the tour overall. We do have restrooms in our office. All you have to do is ask to use it if you are on a tour. All our guides are instructed and reminded to always use the microphones.

What a wonderful experience. We were visiting for the weekend so I thought weā€™d get a little history lesson in with the few hours we had before our flight. Since it was our first time visiting Salem, I thought ā€œwhy not hit all the hot spots and have someone tell us about itā€. Great idea. Our guide (a man with an accent and is a school teacher) was a FANTASTIC historian and did a great job telling us the history leading up to the Witch Trials and explaining some background. I commend him for being able to keep his focus with all the hustle and bustle in the busy touristy streets. Make sure you get a good spot up front in those busy areas so you can hear! We did hit a snag in front of the Joshua Ward house (please note the ladies that work there are VERY RUDE) but he handled the confrontation very well. Those ladies were unprofessional witches with capital a B! (Apparently they had conflict earlier that day). To say the least some areas are VERY busy and difficult to find a spot to stand with a group but our guide handled everything very professionally. I canā€™t wait to come back and try the ghost tour! I hope we get another amazing guide! I have heard to try and avoid Salem around Halloween time, we got in just at the end of September and took the 1pm tour. It. Was. Busy. You may be running through things but at least you know where everything is after the tour to come back around for photo ops! Keep it up!!!

My wife and I stopped off for one day in Salem as part of our travels on honeymoon. After completing a trolley tour of the city earlier in the day and asking the guide for recommendations in respect of walking tours, we opted for this tour as having a natural interest in the Salem Witch Trials and puritan early new England history generally we wanted something which was historically focused rather than paranormal. This tour was exactly what we were looking for. Our tour guide Christine was excellent, she really knew her subject. She was always willing and engaging in dealing with questions, even providing me with some suggested reading material. All in all we really enjoyed the tour and this was the highlight of our brief time in Salem.
