Tours depart at 4pm. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your tour. Check in at Salem Historical Tours Office at 8 Central Street, Salem, MA.
Please be advised that the state of Massachusetts and the City of Salem are requiring masks to enter business establishments. You will not be able to enter our business without a mask or face covering. Until further notice, a mask or face covering will be required on tours since we will not be able to stay six feet away from each other. Salem Historical Tours LLC reserves the right to deny service to anyone refusing to wear a mask or face covering. This requirement is subject to change based on orders by the state and the city.

We use an amplifier so you can social distance. Masks are not required outdoors but are optional. Effective Aug. 23, Salem is requiring that masks must be worn indoors whether you are vaccinated or not. You'll only need to come into our office to pick up your tickets and/or to peruse our gift shop.

What To Expect

Haunted Footsteps & Salem Historical Tours

Examine the demographics, theories and personal stories comprising the dire events of 1692. We will bring you to many of the locations that are full of witch trial history. Many of the structures are long since gone except for a few, but we know where they were located. This is a fascinating tour that will shed new light on what happened during the infamous witchcraft hysteria which turned neighbor against neighbor.

Salem Witch Trials Memorial

Dedicated in 1992, this bench style memorial is in remembrance for the 20 innocent victims of the 1692 Salem Witchcraft Trials.

Witch House

The only remaining Salem structure with direct ties to the witch trials of 1692.

We enjoyed our tour in Salem. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour ran at least 20 minutes over (we eventually had to leave before it ended). The tour assumed you had a decent amount of background knowledge of the Salem Witch Trials. It would have been confusing for those unfamiliar with the main events/names.

Tour guide was reading index cards and was not the most engaging. Group had to ask many times for him to turn on his microphone which he kept turning off.

While we allow our tour guides to bring notes and other items, they are always reminded to use these only to help enhance the tour as the history of the Witchcraft Trials is a complex story. Salem can be a loud and busy city and our guides are always encouraged to make adjustments for volume throughout the tour.

Absolutely fantastic. Bob was our tour guide and he was considerate, knowledgeable and down right cool. He cracked some jokes to lighten it up and answered all our questions, without even being asked.
