The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept our attention. My group really enjoyed this tour with one exception. It was a hot, sunny day, and we kept stopping with no where to get a little shade or sit down(until near the end). It would have been an excellent experience if we could have had a little relief.

Hello and thank you for the great review. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the tour. While we can't control the Weather, we do try to encourage our guides to find shade when they can. Salem is a busy and popular town and shady areas may not always be available for a group.

The tour guide was using laminated 8x10 cards- one side was a picture of the site, and the other was his script about it. However, he was also quite tangential- talking about random information- he couldnā€™t stay focused. It was very hot- but he had the entire group in the blazing Sun, rather than finding shade under which our group could assemble while he babbled. We bailed after 45 min- couldnā€™t take it anymore.

Hello Jen, we're sorry to hear you didn't have the best time with us. Mostly all our guides use laminated cards as an added feature to try and bring as much of 1692 Salem back as possible on our tours. With it being so hot out we always try to remind our guides that groups should be moved into the shade. Please email me at [email protected]. We would love to set up a complimentary tour for your group with us.
