So extremely disappointed...our tour guide did a very poor job of guiding us through the history. He (I believe his name was Bob) rambled on and on about too many characters of the story, bouncing all over the story line, mocking a very tragic point in history. Yes, anyone who has studied this era knows it was produced out of hysteria, religious, and political gain but it happened all the same.
Each of the āstopsā along the way are literally in random parking lots or street corners. None of the actual landmarks/buildings are even part of the āwalking tourā.
We went out of our way on our road trip to stop here and pick up a little bit of historical insight and were so so disappointed. We left the tour with about 20 minutes to go as we just couldnāt take it anymore.

We're sorry you were disappointed but Bob gets fantastic reviews. The 17 months of the witchcraft hysteria is incredibly complicated with multiple characters. We certainly do not mock it but provide insights as to why some folks acted as they did. There were10 girls, nine judges and 156 official complaints. We stop where judges lived as well as the sheriff, Bridget Bishop, the courthouse and the pressing site of Giles Corey. Many of those structures are long gone. We can't help that so we end up standing where they used to be. We tell the stories of those folks and others along the way.
