This was extremely disappointing.
You don't SEE anything at all on this "tour", all you do is LISTEN and stand on a street corner listening to details of things that happened over 300 years ago during the witch hysteria period in Salem. This goes on for about 45 minutes. You do eventually move from the street corner, where the tour guide will point out where things "used" to be, but now they are something else, so you essentially see a modern structure in place of something that stood 300 years ago. You view an old house from the outside, called the "witch house" and they say it has direct ties to the witch trials in that one of the Judge's lived there, but you can't go inside, you can only view it from the outside. But you could do that on your own, you don't need the tour for that. There is nothing directly about the witch trials that you get to view while on this "tour". The pictures make it seem like you get to see where the actual hangings were, but the hangings occurred someplace else, I believe below Gallows Hill, on Proctors Ledge. What this is, is simply a history lesson for an hour and a half looking at where things "used" to be. I suggest you sightsee on your own, you would see more.
Please do not fall prey to the words "Witch Trials", the only thing accurate in the title of this tour are the words "Walking". I can't even call it an actual "Tour". A tour is where you would actually view something.

This review is unfair and uninformed. There is only one structure left with ties to the witchcraft trials and we go there. You can go on your own, but you will not get the stories of the house. All the tour companies do the same thing. You can go in to the Witch House, but it is a self guided tour. You can ask questions and they will answer them, but you get more info on our tour because we give you several details about individuals during the trials so you get a great understanding of what was really happening in Salem in 1692. We are never in one location for 45 minutes. We go to 6-8 stops so we cannot spend 45 minutes at each one or it would be a 4.5 hour tour. We never claimed to go to the hanging site. Not sure any tour does that since it is a mile away and it would be the only location you would see. None of the pictures on our website are of the hanging site. We're not even sure that S. Shady (hmmmm) took our tour. But they are correct. This is a history lesson and a tour and we walk. And it is the best in the city.
