USS Arizona Memorial

Traveling across the harbor by shuttle boat, and then standing in reflection on the USS Arizona Memorial, you can pause in tribute to those who lost their lives that day. This graceful monument built over the remains of the sunken ship provides a moving balance of life and death, as you spot green sea turtles and fish swimming in the active reef around the memorial, even as it serves to honor those entombed below. A historical film, a journey in time across the harbor, and perhaps a chance to meet a survivor of the attack complete your morning at Pearl Harbor.

Our review might have been different if we were able to get on the Arizona. Because of “persistent “ dock issues, this became a $65 per person transportation to Pearl Harbor where there is VERY limited places to go. We got there at 11:30 and had reservations for 12:30. At 12:15, they shut down the ferry. Not aviators fault! But when we saw people coming in for free after a $30 Uber ride, we realized the error of our ways. We were told we had to wait until 2:45 to leave. WITH NOTHING TO DO so we shared an Uber with another couple ($15 per couple) and we’re in the pool wondering how we spent $130 for this! Just Uber from your hotel. TRUST ME!

If I could give zero stars for this company I would. Total scam. The tour does not include anything at Pearl Harbor or the USS Arizona. It is only transportation to the memorial. We had our own transportation so did not need them. They tried to say that we were not allowed to drive there or park there on our own which is untrue. Go onto the government site to get your reservations. Because of this company’s false advertisement we are now unable to go to the USS Arizona. I am going to report them to the Pearl Harbor Center and the BBB. They should not be allowed to call it a Pearl Harbor Tour.

I understand your frustration and you are correct. Parking is free at Pearl Harbor, and you do not need a tour to gain access to the area. The ticket to the memorial may be obtained online by anyone but I feel I should warn you. The tickets become available at 3pm the day before and they sell out in mere moments. We do our best to gain tickets for our guests but even tour companies use this same system. I am so sorry you feel cheated. Our website does state that due to unforeseen circumstances that may arise at any time, we do not guarantee tickets. Also, we do have a policy that our tour guests may not meet up with the driver at Pearl Harbor and must be picked up at their predetermined pick-up spots. Despite other reviews, our “tour guide” did not really give any useful information on the drive. Which is what you really are paying for. We got texts the day ahead and morning of, saying bags under 4x7 were allowed, but this is not the case and we got stopped and had to check a bag that we saw others carrying around inside Pearl Harbor. Our guide said the bag would be fine. When we got stopped to check the bag, the guide continued and we were left on our own to figure out where standby was for the Arizona memorial. They did state that we would have to use standby, but that isn’t really what’s advertised. Our guide was not helpful at all. This is in stark contrast to the Circle Island tour which was fantastic with our guide Mo. Your best bet is to pay for an Uber and get try to get tickets from the Arizona Memorial website yourself. Wasted money.
