What To Expect
1
Coachella Valley Preserve
Here your adventure makes it's first stop at the 3rd largest Oasis in the world. Here you will walk over a bridge that straddles the actual faultline. 30 minutes are spent here where there is about a half mile trail you can optionally take with your guide. Restrooms are also located here before we venture far into the wilderness.
2
San Andreas Fault
We travel by Hummer into the mouth of a canyon that was formed by the San Andreas Fault. Here the adventure in your Hummer begins and we follow a road many Jeeps will need to return. 1.5 billion year old rocks are in this canyon that date back to the bottom of the Grand Canyon! The scenery is mind-bending as you see the tortured rock formations beneath the cobalt blue skies of the high desert.

Great, knowledgable guide. Great experience. Beware when booking, I booked through Tripadvisor with the option to be picked from our hotel, entered name of the hotel address, etc. It was pure luck I called the tour company to confirm pick up time and they advised me they don't do that. So we had to make our way there and back via Uber and it was not cheap.

Thanks for the review of your tour. I am sorry the TripAdvisor site was showing a complimentary pickup. This is not something we provide. TripAdvisors site does show Hotel Pickup and we have contacted them to be sure future guests are aware of our main pick up shown on your ticket. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

We took the San Andreas Fault Hummer Tour and had a great tour guide (Louis). Seeing the San Andreas Fault was amazing and very interesting. The bridge over the fault was only a foot or two above the fault. We then headed to Joshua Tree National Park. We drove up a canyon entrance that required the Hummer, over very rough terrain with no road in several places. Louis did a great job describing the different rock formations and the various desert plants and how the Native Americans used these plants.
