Good quality bikes for occasional riders. Beautiful terrain but sharing the road with big trucks down to motorcycles. We have done this tour in years past and really enjoyed it. In times past, the tour guide (who follows the riders in a vehicle) would stop at various points along the way & talk about the geology of the area giving interesting explanations as to what we were seeing. Of course, there were homemade cookies & joking around. There is large stopping point with a kiosk type map & information which expanded on that info. In previous tours the guide took us to a date grove & talked about the history of dates in this area. This was followed by a stop at a store selling dates & date ice cream and shakes. Sadly, the current program is nothing like the old ones turning into a chilly 'pedal as fast as you can' ride with short stops at the side of the rode for quick snacks. I do not recommend this tour anymore.

I am so sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your bike tour with us. I do instruct our guides to stop and talk about the area at least once or twice with the guests so that was our fault, pun intended. With regard to cookies and date shakes...indeed, in the early years I was able to bake chocolate chip cookies for our guests on the bike tours but due to the success of our business I am no longer able to keep up on baking duties. We try our best to provide other great snacks but it is true that my cookies are yummy and hard to replace. As for the date shakes, unfortunately Oasis Date Gardens in Thermal, our go to date shop, closed during Covid and are only sporadically open these days as they are still reeling from the upset to their business. We do our best to stop at an alternative shop but it is much further out of the way so that store is also not always an option. My apologies and I hope that we see you again down the road for a third chance!

Captain Ron was knowledgeable, professional, and a whole lot of fun! We truly enjoyed every minute of our tour and learning about all of the history in the canyons. He even gave us tips on when best to return- and we will! 100% recommend!
