Disappointed with the experience. The "jeep" tour was in a Toyota Seqouia (barge). Very few passing references to the San Andreas Fault. We would have worn different footwear if we knew that hiking was a big part of the tour. Overpriced

Would have preferred more back roads walking in painted canyon and box canyon. Skip the long ride out to Salton sea. It was uninteresting. Going to the oasis for a small date shake was a total waste of time.

Hello Ms. Akstulewicz, sorry to hear that you did not get as much hiking as you would have liked and were not impressed with the Salton Sea or the complimentary date shakes at Oasis Date Garden. I will talk to your guide that day to see what he could have done differently and to make sure that he offered your group the customized options that are available on that tour. We appreciate your feedback.

This tour was interesting however I would have preferred a little more actual walking into places like at the Painted Canyon or the San Andreas fault area. We just stopped in the parking lots for a few minutes basically to stretch our legs so that was disappointing. The Salton Sea was interesting. I enjoyed the date shake and sampling different types of dates. There was a lot of driving so maybe they dont have much time but it could greatly benefit from even 20 minute walks in the areas we visited.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get more hiking on your tour. We do instruct our guides to ask guests upon pickup what they would prefer to see and do (i.e. hike more, drive more, see geology, agriculture, etc..) We do pride ourselves on not conducting cookie cutter tours so please accept my apologies that we didn't delivery a more custom experience.
