Guide Raul grew up with the fault nearly in his backyard! 1/2 day learning about the whole Valley, the fault itself, geology, history. Raul was full of helpful information. I have been to Palm Springs numerous times, but this gave me additional perspectives and is well worth doing. We also saw the Salton Sea from sea level instead of from 36000 ft in an airplane.

Wife and I got to hike the ladders to the top, through amazing scenery. Captain Ron was instantly a guide and friend. We hit it off perfectly. he was prepared with stories and knew all the flora and fauna of the area, along with the history. The Trip over was highlighted by a stop at the Date Farm HQ where we got samples. We are going to send our adult kids next. Well worth it from start to finish. You need to try this, it's awe inducing.
