With a few haunted tours in various cities under my belt, I have to say the experience rides on the ability of your guide to tell a good story. Our guides, one experienced and one obviously on a trial run, were very good at recounting historical facts, but their haunted tales felt like follow-up facts to the history. I really dug the old-time San Antonio monologues, but I found myself wanting to pull out my phone to pass the time on some of the āscaryā tales.
All that being said, they obviously put a lot of effort into preparing the tour. They wore costumes. They had tablets to show pictures that went along with the stories. And it was pretty good exercise! Itās definitely worth the $20, but you might temper your excitement if you anticipate a good scare.
