You need to be a military buff to enjoy this tour. The commentary is 99% about ships, naval stations, military planes, helicoptors etc ... all in excruciating detail for the lay person. We had a brief look at some sea lions, but otherwise there was no mention of flora, fauna or land features. The promo materials for the tour should be clear about the military focus to avoid disappointed patrons.

It was crowded up top and the speakers were not good in some spots, so it was hard to hear in some places on the boat. But it was a relaxing trip up and down the bay. I would recommend it. Oh, and spend the extra couple of dollars and do the full 2 hour tour.

I did the two hour tour and plan do it again on my next visit to San Diego. I highly recommend it to anybody visiting San Diego.
