Our guide, Steven, was very knowledgeable about a variety of topics (e.g., wine, fauna, trivial info re: Topgun, food, etc.). He shared a ton of valuable information and he knew when to stop talking and let us do our own thing. Our first stop was old town Temecula, where he let us explore the town. Our tour mates were all hungover beyond reason, so their energy was a downer, so we wanted to get away from them. Thankfully, Steven told us about a cute tasting room in old town---Lorimar---AND he gave us a coupon for "two for one tasting". We sprinted there and had the best wines of the day! The server was a cool guy as well and he gave us some tastes from the reserve list as well as tips on some other wineries to check out at a later time. Our first official winery stop on the tour was Callaway where we had a light lunch. The weather was gorgeous and the wines here were also delightful. The staff was working double time when we were there. They were super busy. The venue had a beautiful view across the rolling hills as well as within their own cute vines. Again, Steven pointed out the "secret path" for me and my friend to get down into the vines and onto a little patio under a tree. We took some great pics there. Our next winery was an expansive master piece, Wilson Creek. This venue had the most beautiful grounds I've ever seen. Our server, Jeron, was exactly the right amount attentive and informative. He was super nice and even gave us some packing material to assist with getting bottles home safe in our suitcases (not bottles from W.C.). Sadly, we weren't fans of the wine. The last winery we attended was Frangipani Estates. This place was also lovely; industrial look with endless views of vines. We enjoyed all the wines we had here and bought a bottle (Rose) for the hour long drive back to San Diego. Thankfully, our tour mates managed to light their fuses again and we had a fun drive home with them. Steven handled them (and us) so perfectly. He really has a talent for this line of work (and he used to be a professional photographer, so definitely take advantage of that talent as we did). We also met Dave (the owner & other tour guide) and he seemed equally competent and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour.

Very kind of you to take the time to share your experiences with others Ang723.
Your comments are greatly appreciated by Stephen and the entire Destination Temecula team.
For both your reference, and the benefit of others who may take heed of your perceptions, the initial stop in wine country was actually at Frangipani Estate Winery. Callaway Vineyards and Winery was the last stop of the day.
We really appreciate you being on board, and would love to have you join us when visiting Southern California again in the future.
Cheers!
