My granddaughters and I went on a cloudy day and thoroughly enjoyed the park. Many of the animals were out and active. Although there weren't as many people in the park there were plenty of ambassadors to help guide you around the park. The park is beautiful and the enclosures made viewing the animals easy and showed the animals had a comfortable environment to spend their days. The only downside was due to the lack of visitors and slight rain many of the refreshment stands were not open.

We only went because it was "free" for those 65 and older. Thank goodness! at $72 to just get in this place is way too expensive for what it delivers. One can pay a great deal more money for curated tours but the costs are nuts. Draft beer in the park was 19.99 a cup. The wait for the "free" tram was 90 minutes-unless you wanted to shell out an additional $20/person then it was about 15 minutes. It was a lot of walking with little rewards... I can't imagine the cost for a family that needs to feed kids here!

Be prepared for lots of walking. It is a pretty open area. Not as many animals out there as the zoo. It was a great nature walk.
