Overview

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park, an 1,800-acre wildlife park, is home to more than 3,600 animals representing over 300 species. More than 1 million guests each year see wildlife in herds of mixed species, in expansive savanna habitats. The Safari Park also maintains a vast accredited botanical collection of more than 1.3 million plant specimens, representing over 3,700 species. Guests are invited to take part in thrilling safari experiences and create lasting memories, while supporting San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s conservation efforts to save wildlife worldwide.

Tickets must be purchased at least one day prior to visit. With mobile tickets, simply scan your phone for direct entry into the Safari Park.

Spent an enjoyable afternoon with the family and great to come up close to wildlife like the lions and tigers. The tram ride across the African Savannah was a great experience.

I enjoy seeing animals and walking around. The workers are so nice and they are ready to help. My first time here as foreigner and I do enjoy it so much.

I was disappointed with the family experience at the Safari Zoo. I think it is mostly a zoo experience more than a safari experience. The entrance ticket is already very expensive for a family of four, but we need to pay a lot more to get close to the animals to have the real safari experience.
