San Francisco Bay Sunset Catamaran Cruise

Overview

Enjoy the serene San Francisco Bay at sunset on this evening with the Sunset Cruise aboard a luxurious catamaran. Sail by Alcatraz Island, under the Golden Gate Bridge and look for sea lions, then cruise down the city skyline.

Both the Adventure Cat 55' or 65' catamaran are complete with a 360-degree, protected viewing area for those who don't like the wind in their faces as well as canvas trampoline nets where you can experience the ocean and sights in the open sea air.

Just a note on capacity, we are considered an outdoor business by category, so we are not officially restricted currently, but we do self-limit to have enough room for all to feel safe. Our 47-passenger vessel is limited to about 40 per trip, and the 90-passenger is limited to 76 for comfort of all.

We can accept manual wheelchairs only, as there are 3-4 stairs to board the boat. Also, restrooms are not ADA accessible.
Please bring a jacket and wear soft-soled shoes
Audio guides are available in English, Mandarin, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Please bring headphones if you plan on using the audio guide.
No outside beverages may be brought on board

Booked this activity for a 50th birthday but received a message from them cancelling with no explanation as to why. They state it’s coming to end of season so they cancel Monday - Thursday cruises …. Mine was booked for a Sunday … they are still sailing on the Saturday. Clearly they can’t be honest and just say they have a lack of bookings which is why the Sunday is being cancelled as APPARENTLY they sail 3 times a day but none are available on the Sunday. I don’t mind cancellations for genuine reasons but don’t offer a service and just cancel it because you don’t get the numbers you want … planes fly half empty … just be honest with people…. So I can’t review the trip just the customer server which is pretty shoddy.

Thank you very much for writing this review, and we're sorry to hear such a feeling of dishonesty. I'm the GM, and I will try to figure out the messaging that you did receive was lacking. The reality is that while ridership is not an issue, we did have to cancel a number of trips because one of our boats sustained some minor damage in a docking incident, and thus could not run. Believe me, as a company we wish it weren't so, but while the boat damage is minor we still operate on the utmost safety, and will take the time to give it a full inspection and assess any work needed. For you, we are of course sorry for any inconvenience, and we do always want to be transparent in our 33 years of doing business. My hunch is that in the extra legwork that it takes to rebook all our guests when down to 1 boat without warning, the messaging was quick and could have been improved. Let us know if you'd like to get on the water again before season's end, we can find a spot and make it right. Thanks! Charlie
