Seamlessly integrating the original museum with a new 10-story building designed by international architects Snohetta, SFMOMA now expands, featuring outstanding holdings of more than 33,000 modern and contemporary artworks of painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, design, and media arts. Make the most of your visit with SFMOMA’s immersive iOS app, including hundreds of 60-90 second audio reflections and responses to artworks in the galleries by composers, comedians, artists, and playwrights, among others. Audio guides are also available to rent at SFMOMA for a fee. Please note free public tours and spotlight talks are offered daily onsite. Information regarding unique private guided tour experiences and rotating exhibitions can be found on SFMOMA’s website. SFMOMA is appropriate for visitors of all ages and all guests 18 and younger are free. Fantastic museum with a selection of exhibits for just about anyone. I’d strongly recommend checking the oculus bridge in particular. It’s worth the wait/queue.

With some time to kill before an evening flight we visited SFMOMA. We're not arty-types generally but we do enjoy taking in all sorts of different experiences (e.g. been to NY MOMA and liked it). Lots of interesting items on display to make your brain think "what the...?" and overall a good place to visit. Worth the time and effort, and reasonably priced, given we spent about 3 hours there.

On our mini vacay to San Fran we decided to stop in and we spent over 3 hours in this Museum!! So much to see, very interesting, we didn't complete it all, but the highlight was the Diego Rivera exhibit.
