This trip was a fun day out. My guide was Dustin and he was knowledge and fun. It was good to have a mix of commentary and music throughout the day (and the karaoke on the way back was great fun).
Muir woods was nice, but not as great as what I thought it would be. Entry is $15 which seems fairly pricey given you’re only paying to walk on the path and use the restroom.
We then headed to Ru Vango winery in Napa. This scenery was nice, but I was underwhelmed by the wine - we tasted 3 reds which were a bit “same same”, they had no Chardonnay or rose as they had sold out.
We then headed to Sonoma square for lunch (Dustin gave some good recommendations) - I went to the Sunflower cafe and had the duck sandwich, it was really nice. I wish we’d had a bit more time here.
I can’t remember the name of the next winery but it was nice as it had Sav Blanc and Rose which was good, and it was nice sitting out in the gardens.
The final winery was Mayo. The wine was OK, but the atmosphere really made it.
On the way back we had a great karaoke session and then stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge for a final photo stop.
