What To Expect
1
Lands End
San Francisco’s natural park spaces are unique and unparalleled to other cities in the United States. At the north corner of the city lies “Lands End”. Better known as the “locals” hidden park. The area features many historical monuments, full indoor museum, quiet nature trails, GIGANTIC Pacific Ocean views, and the most magnificent shining prize – a superior, grade A view of the Golden Gate Bridge end to end. San Francisco also boasts a bounty of farm to table ingredients – honey, fruits, artisan cheese, nuts, greens, poultry, and vegetables galore - all grown a stones throw from San Francisco. This tour is designed to showcase some of the best of them in a fun, progressive lunch as we make stops along the hike and indulge in some of the native delicacies. Crafted by a trained chef, your 5-course meal will feature cheeses & poultry from North of the Bay, treats from San Francisco bakeries, farmer’s market greens, SF sourdough bread, handmade artisan chocolate and Napa Valley wine!
2
Sea Cliff
Then it’s out of the park and into San Francisco’s most wealthy and exclusive neighborhood, Seacliff. Home to Hollywood stars like Sharon Stone, Martin Cheech, the late Robin Williams, tech giants of Silicon Valley and American Photographer Ansel Adams, this area boasts multiple homes ranging in values from $10 to 30 million dollars!
3
China Beach
Stop 3: Central Valley spring greens, Mary’s Petaluma chicken breast, Sebastapool gourmet mushrooms, Full Belly Farms heirloom Tomato, Gilroy garlic dressing, Raymond’s sourdough bread, Napa Valley Pinot Noir Then a short hike down to China Beach – a small, intimate beach with a wealth of history going back to the Gold Rush era. Here, we enjoy a light, casual lunch
4
Richmond District
Stop 4: Thai Iced Tea at a local café Then we travel through a typical San Francisco neighborhood to a small café for a special treat – a Thai Iced tea – considered the very BEST in San Francisco. You won’t believe that San Franciscan’s travel out to this tiny café just for their special tea
5
Legion of Honor
Stop 5: Watsonville strawberries with Tcho dark chocolate bites Finally, back through the park, along one of the West Coast’s most unique golf course (your guide knows why!) and up to the entrance of the Legion of Honor Museum for a picture with its giant fountain
6
Lands End
A final short hike back to the parking lot where we began, and you can call it a full day of frolicking, fun and eating!   Note: This is a hiking / walking tour. While not very steep, there are uphill climbs and long sets of stairs through the park. Please read all details before booking

I can wholeheartedly state the San Francisco Urban Trail Hike & 5 Course Chef’s Progressive Local Food Lunch surpassed my expectations! Mark Paladini’s tour was highly organized, offered breathtaking views, provided copious amounts of historical information, and last by not least, allowed us to consume the most delicious and unique foods I have had in a very long time! This charming experience took us to Land’s End Visitor Center, The Legions of Honor Museum, the Seacliff Neighborhood, China Beach, and to a small, local café for a special treat of Thai Iced tea. With each stop, Mark would unpack gourmet foods that were both beautiful and delicious! Mark’s expertise as a chef, historian, and tour guide will not disappoint and I highly recommend this adventure!

Mark was an amazing host and tour guide! He brought our group of 4 on a great hike that included stops along the way to sample some local delicacies. Each time we stopped he'd pull from his back pack another course of personally prepared goodness. Stops included Lands End, Legion of Honor Museum, Sea Cliff, China Beach, etc. This was $ well spent, and I recommend that you go hiking with Mark!

Mark created a fabulous 5 course lunch on a hike. The hike tour through Lands End is a little seen gem of San Francisco--I hadn't seen it, and I've lived here 25 years! Mark's history anecdotes, both historical and personal, make the hike educational and engaging. The food, OMG, the food was amazing. Each stop along the way was a new taste delight. Mark's long history with the food industry generates some fascinating insider stories any foodie will love. Highly Recommended.
