Santa Fe Railyard Farmers Market Food Tour

Overview
Skip the long lines and dive into the bold, smoky, and complex flavors of traditional New Mexican cuisine with a chef-guided lunch at La Choza—the beloved sister restaurant of The Shed. Starting in the Santa Fe Railyard, we’ll take a scenic stroll along the historic Rail Trail before settling in for an exclusive, three-course meal at this local favorite, renowned for its award-winning red and green chile.

Led by a culinary expert, this immersive lunch explores the origins and evolution of New Mexico’s distinct cuisine, with a comparative tasting that highlights the key differences between Mexican and New Mexican flavors. To elevate the experience, we’ll celebrate Santa Fe’s status as the Margarita Capital of America with a top-shelf margarita pairing for each course, showcasing different styles and expressions of this iconic cocktail.

After indulging in a feast of local flavors, we’ll finish on a sweet note with a locally inspired dessert at Santa Fe’s premier craft ice creamery

We LOVED Lauren. She was so amazing. She was warm and personable and very knowledgable. She has a cullinary backround which made the tour even better. The food locations were amazing. The first place we enjoyed a scrumptous Margaritta and amazing Tacos. At the second location we were able to meet the chef and hear all abut his backrgound. We enjoyed an amazing Burrato dish and appetizing dessert. The last place we had wine tasting. Lauren also gave us a tour of the downtown and explained the history behind some of the places. She had great ideas of places to go for the rest of our stay. It was a great tour

Lauren was very knowledgable about the area and the food and shared it in a fun and friendly way. All of the food we sampled was absolutely delicious. The only drawback was it was so good, we over ate a bit! If I'm ever back in Santa Fe, I'll make it a point to book this tour again.

We live in Albuquerque and go to Santa Fe often but I was planning a weekend trip north for my husband's birthday and wanted something new to do in SF. I picked this tour because we haven't spent much time at the Railyards and thought it might introduce us to some new places. We've enjoyed food tours while abroad but I'd never thought of doing one so close to home. It was totally fabulous. Found multiple places we'd never been to that will become favorites. Lauren was a great guide. This tour was a highlight of our trip.
