This was a really great tour! Tom does a great job of explaining the actual history of Salem and the context of the witch trials from a scientific, socially conscious lens that is fun while still being respectful of the people who lost their lives. I highly recommend this tour :)

The Satanic Salem Walking Tour is a must-do activity for any visitors (and maybe some of the residents!) of Salem. Tom is extremely knowledgeable, his presentation is very interesting, and he is sensitive to the tragic events which occurred in 1600s Salem. He puts the Salem Witch trials into historical context and reviews the history of colonialization and trade in the area. Tom is also kind and funny, and patiently responds to all kinds of questions from his group. It is also a good tour to go on if you are curious about what the Satanic Temple is, their history, and what they do. The next time I go to Salem I'll take another Satanic Salem Walking Tour, because there's a lot I probably missed and it was a terrific learning experience.
