We recently moved to Sausalito but after this tour I am more proud than ever to call this my new home. Renee made this tour so interesting and so much fun. Made friends with two lovely visitors from South Korea over an afternoon of perfectly paired cheeses and wines at the Spinnaker, then on to the historic Trident over chowder and shrimp cocktails...tasted the amazing gnudi at Poggio...and the huckleberrry bread pudding dessert at Bocci was out of this world! By the end of the day we had a great sense of the entire city and its history...quite a bit of walking but Renee is willing to fine tune the tour to accommodate those who do not want to walk as much. It doesn't feel like a touristy tour....much more intimate, like getting to spend a perfect half day with a very knowledgeable local!

So much fun to experience Sausalito with Gormet Food and Wine Tours. Rene is an incredible host. She discovered special places to go and delightful tid bites I was not aware of in this charming town by the San Francisco Bay. Rene's knowledge of the history of the town surprised me. It was an extra added bonus. Don't miss this!

Sausalito is a gorgeous town rich with history that I had so much fun experiencing on this tour! Our tour guide, Viv, was extremely knowledgeable on the area and has a long background working with food and wine. She was a blast and totally had the 'inside scoop' on all things food and wine. She took us to so many great spots, it's hard for me to pick a favorite! I loved the Trident; our window seat allowed us to see the cool psychedelic patterns on the ceilings while enjoying an incredible view right on the bay. The food and wine pairings were amazing, and there was tons of variety between each food stop. When another tour goer wasn't a fan of shellfish, Viv gladly ordered a replacement meal that paired perfectly with the wine! We were extremely impressed by her keen sense to come up with delicious pairings on the fly! Upon taking this tour, be prepared for delicious food, breathtaking views, and great company. I highly recommend it; you won't leave hungry, but you will want to come back for more!!
