This was such a bad experience that we ended up leaving the tour early. I have taken several ghost tours in Savannah through various companies, and this was the worst one. Our tour guide was just really odd and a bad story teller. His long awkward pauses made the group feel uncomfortable. People take ghost tours to hear about ghosts. He just went into so much detail about the war and other non-scary things. The group sizes of these tours are starting to get ridiculous. The groups are so big with several different tour companies all going on at the same time that it is impossible to be scared. Itā€™s so comical trying to listen to a guide tell a ā€œscary storyā€ while thereā€™s another huge group right next to us telling. Itā€™s like these guides donā€™t even try anymore. I saw a few other reviews mention the same tour guide we had so clearly it isnā€™t just me who had these feelings.

We enjoyed the history that the guide brought to the experience, just wish that we would have a little time to take photos at each stop. With him walking so fast, everyone had to rush to catch up before he started talking again. Giving 2 mins at the end of each stop to allow a rest or a photo opp would be suggested. Still had fun though!

Our guide was a complete bafoon. It was like watching very bad community theater. He was cracking himself up, but entertaining no one else. We have attended ghost tours in the past, and enjoying them or not is entirely dependent on the guide. Jonathan was a joke, and not in a good way. It was a complete waste of time and money. Our group and another couple just wanted to bail midway through it was so bad.
