Our tour host, Zach, arrived and started our tour right on time. He was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and thoroughly entertaining. His presentation had us all expecting an errant spook to show itself at any time. He patiently and cheerfully responded to all questions. My wife and I enjoyed learning the history of this small section of Savannah surrounding Colonial Park Cemetery - literally a city built on top of the dead. Thanks, Zach! We had no problem parking right next to the cemetery gate - our meeting point. Come prepared to walk and walk and then walk some more. Altogether, we covered around 12-16 blocks round trip over two hours. Wear comfortable shoes. Hit the bathroom before starting. Bring insect repellant. Bring a digital camera with flash and plenty of free memory - take frequent photos to try and catch a spirit. I would recommend a light folding camp stool to sit as the guide spins his or her fascinating tales.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but had a blast and highly recommend. Nicodemus was our tour guide and he was the best!!!! Nicodemus made this a unique experience through his storytelling, humor and interaction with our group. I was apprehensive meeting at a cemetery in the most haunted city in the US at night (seriously). I would take the tour again, but only if it was with him. During our tour, Nicodemus brought every story to life in a fun way while sharing details of historical stories of ghosts and characters of Savannah. Also, brought my teen son. This was appropriate for him and he ]enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend!!!! Thanks, Nicodemus!!!!
