Zach's "Beyond the Good and Evil" tour was absolutely spot-on. The trick to some of these "ghost tours" is to balance a conversational and informative approach with the "slightly spooky" content without doing so in an overly-dramatized and poorly acted presentation. (As we'd observed with some other tours in the city... they were embarrassing to walk by and see the unfortunately captive audience of a strange man clearly over-doing it.) In that respect, Zach nailed it. There was no uncomfortably, kitchy, corny "uber-drama," and for every story told, Zach was clear on the difference between conjecture and documented history. Every story was interesting and incorporated both elements of the city's history (which is fascinating) blended with just enough touch of the creepy elements to make us look over our shoulder a bit walking back to our B&B. The town has enough genuinely disturbing historical facts that it doesn't take much to send the right amount of shudder up your spine without having to overdo it. And the tour concluded at the "Midnight/Garden/Evil" mansion, so if you're a fan of the book and/or the movie, Zach's account of the actual events will fascinate you. Perfect tour, perfect tour guide. Highly recommend this tour if you can secure Zach as your guide.

This tour was spectacular. It started at 11 and went about an hour and a half. It was so interesting to wander around the city at that time of night. Skippy was very informative and was able to answer all the questions that were "off script". He was very knowledgeable about the places on the tour. My husband and I had a wonderful time!

Nicodemus is the reason this tour was so good! He was knowledgeable about the area and it's history and he also had a great sense of comedic timing and crowd reading. Sometimes ghost tours can be false and boring but this one is far from it!
