To be fair, there were two different groups, but I didn’t get to pick which group I was in. We were blocked by hotel staff at the first place, went to where Pimm Cup was invented. We spent 40+ minutes blocking 4 bar stools and I was the only one who made a purchase, could explain why entrance was blocked at the first place. We talked politics and conspiracy theories that moved beyond the bar location and was a big boring waste of time. When the tour leader told us to take the bar stools the had been vacated because we were going to be there a bit longer, I decided to leave. It’s only a 2.5 hour tour and 1 hour was at one located talking about unrelated politics. I really regret wasting money on this tour and understand why the bar tender was really irritated with our presence. The tour leader should have taken us outside for his lecture, not blocking paying customers from access.

Janet has done her research and makes the tour come alive. The cocktails and their history made the tour. Well-spent two hours!

Amazing history starting with the early 1800s through the early 1970s. Informative and the bar stops along the way with their signature cocktails made for a great tour. Would do it again.

Thanks so much! Yes, often we who do tours in New Orleans neglect the city's more recent history, which is just as interesting as the early days.
