The trip was great. This was my first rafting experience. The guide was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the area and a lot of fun, He even sang happy birthday to me. It was very cool.

We had a great time. James was a great guide. He handled the raft masterfully, describe the environment, and engaged in lively conversation. The float was extremely scenic and quiet. It gave you a chance to really look at River and take in its beauty. I highly recommend this trip.

We asked for a very easy, pleasant half-day float and that is what we got. We had opportunities to swim at a couple of different locations along the route but since it was a little cool and rainy we did not opt to get in the River. This float takes you through a beautiful, mostly undeveloped part of the Rio Grande. We encountered a few anglers along the way, but no other people. We saw a variety of birds including Canada goose, great blue herons, and magpies. It was a quiet, beautiful morning! I believe we got a discount for going in the morning instead of the (busier) afternoon. We had the boat to ourselves! Our guide had lots of information about the River and the geology we were seeing as we floated along. She expertly steered us around boulders and through rapids - we didn't have to do anything except sit back and enjoy the ride. There is essentially no storage on the boat, so bring as little as possible. We just had our water bottles.
