First one should note that there is no hotel pick up. We met 30 minutes at the departure point to load on an old school bus, then traveled to the raft departure point. We received our raft and our guide assignment with life jackets. 9 of us plus our guide Jumped in our raft and off we went. The ride was smooth and had a few rapids (level 1), more at the end (which we did get a bit wet). We saw a deer, a few eagles, lots of geese, a couple pelicans and lots of beautiful views of the Tetons. Our guide Ely was awesome and she let our son (11) paddle in a some slow moving area to earn a junior guide badge. It was 2 hours on the River total. Tipped our guide, then We then returned to the same bus 13 miles down the river. Jumped on the bus and returned to the original departure area in downtown Jackson.

The guide was knowledgeable and fun. Scenic tour very family friendly, you only get wet if you want to. No rowing required. We saw 8+ bald eagles and a few nests and even one chase down an osprey with a fish. Lot of other water birds and beautiful mountain scenery. Guide was happy to take group photos and positioned raft for best effect. Overall a recommended tour and experience. Next time will try the whitewater when kids are older.

Our first day and what a fun way to start our adventures. The scenery was beautiful, the water flow just right and our guide Lesley did a great job informing us on sights. As we are older folks this trip was perfect for us.
