Weight restrictions of 275 lbs. per passenger will apply. Not recommended for passengers with balance and or mobility issues. Passengers must be physically able to navigate a long narrow dock and stairs to board the boat. Once on board you will need to be able to move about on uneven deck surfaces, climbing down a 2-foot-deep step into our seating area, and then a 2 foot step back up on to the deck. Loose fitting clothing and flat soft soled shoes are best, no heels or flip flops, you may go barefoot onboard.
Passengers should take a flexible approach to sailing. Plans may change because of weather or for a variety of other reasons. We monitor the weather continuously and will not sail in heavy rain, thick fog, high winds, thunder and lightning etc. However, we will sail in overcast conditions, light to medium fog and in intermittent sprinkles. In the interest of safety, the final decision to sail resides with the Captain and can be made up until time of departure. If you’ve purchased a ticket and do not show up because of the weather, and the boat sails, your ticket is not refundable or transferrable.

What To Expect

Clearwater Beach

Meet at Clearwater Beach Municipal Marina. Mandatory check in 45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure at our ticket booth to receive your boarding pass(s). We pre board all passengers for a safety talk and then throw the lines off exactly at departure time! As we motor out of the Marina our First Mate will work on raising our sails. We then navigate Clearwater Pass between the barrier islands of Sand Key and Clearwater Beach to head offshore :) Once outside of the Clearwater Pass the Captain will shut down the engine and we will be completely under sail power. It is a unique and beautiful perspective of Clearwater Beach offshore. You may even catch a glimpse of Bottlenose Dolphins feeding or at play in the wake of our Schooner! We stay out for the sunset surprise, which is a different display every evening. As the Schooner Clearwater heads back in to the Marina, darkness is slowly upon us drenched in fantastic memories.

I was looking for a quiet, semi-private sunset excursion to take my mother on while visiting Clearwater. We found Schooner online and gave it a shot, and it was an excellent experience! We did the sunset sailing cruise in late February, and it could not have been any better. Captain Mark, Zach and the other guests were all so friendly. It wasn't overly crowded, and it was so relaxing. I definitely recommend sailing with them if you're visiting the Clearwater area! It surely will be an experience I return to with family and friends.

My husband and I had a marvelous time with Captain Mark and Zach. The weather was perfect. Captain Mark is extremely knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around. Everyone in the boat was friendly and we had a great time! I would highly highly recommend this sunset cruise to anyone and everyone who is in Clearwater! The boat was comfortable, we were able to move around the boat (I personally needed assistance lol!) as we wanted to get better views of seals and then that majestic sunset! After we docked and left I realized I forgot my cellphone- Captain Mark answered my call way after we left and graciously met us first thing in the morning so we could get it from him. I love Clearwater and I Love Love this cruise!!

My girlfriend and I went out with Captain Mark and First Mate Zach on a very windy evening in March. We are both avid boaters, but had never been on a sailboat before this time. Captain Mark was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and an amazing sailor. First Mate Zach was all of those things as well and we got to see some pretty magnificent sailing skills on our cruise as it was very windy. We also saw many dolphins and a nice sunset on the water to cap off the evening. I would recommend to anyone visiting Clearwater that they go on this cruise because it was a truly amazing experience.
