Weight restrictions of 275 lbs. per passenger will apply. Not recommended for passengers with balance and or mobility issues. Passengers must be physically able to navigate a long narrow dock and stairs to board the boat. Once on board you will need to be able to move about on uneven deck surfaces, climbing down a 2-foot-deep step into our seating area, and then a 2 foot step back up on to the deck. Loose fitting clothing and flat soft soled shoes are best, no heels or flip flops, you may go barefoot onboard.
Passengers should take a flexible approach to sailing. Plans may change because of weather or for a variety of other reasons. We monitor the weather continuously and will not sail in heavy rain, thick fog, high winds, thunder and lightning etc. However, we will sail in overcast conditions, light to medium fog and in intermittent sprinkles. In the interest of safety, the final decision to sail resides with the Captain and can be made up until time of departure. If you’ve purchased a ticket and do not show up because of the weather, and the boat sails, your ticket is not refundable or transferrable.

What To Expect

Clearwater Beach

Meet at Clearwater Beach Municipal Marina. Mandatory check in 45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure at our ticket booth to receive your boarding pass(s). We pre board all passengers for a safety talk and then throw the lines off exactly at departure time! As we motor out of the Marina our First Mate will work on raising our sails. We then navigate Clearwater Pass between the barrier islands of Sand Key and Clearwater Beach to head offshore :) Once outside of the Clearwater Pass the Captain will shut down the engine and we will be completely under sail power. It is a unique and beautiful perspective of Clearwater Beach offshore. You may even catch a glimpse of Bottlenose Dolphins feeding or at play in the wake of our Schooner! We stay out for the sunset surprise, which is a different display every evening. As the Schooner Clearwater heads back in to the Marina, darkness is slowly upon us drenched in fantastic memories.

We were so excited to go on this trip. First of all I picked it because it was the most expensive therefore we should have the best cruise right? Not so much. The captain was so engrossed in speaking to the passengers that we literally had to ask him to get away from other boats and he went vertically into the sunset?1? We didn't coast along the beach like I thought we would, no music, no snacks-just dissappointment. But we were the first to be back to the dock!

So sorry your were disappointed. What exactly were your expectations basing your purchase on what you paid rather than reading through the tour "Overview", "What to Expect" and "Important Information" before you booked your reservation? We are a "True Sailing Experience" not a prepared performance type tour. When the large dinner boats choose to motor in front of us it takes a bit of maneuvering with the wind to relocate our 23 ton yacht. We take great pride in providing all of our guest a 2 hour true sailing experience and have never arrived back to the dock early. Unfortunately your misconceptions of what you were getting yourselves in to has cost our family owned business a poor review. If you were displeased why did you not call me to let us know your disappointment? Sadly you have hidden behind your keyboard to take out your displeasure on making an incorrect tour decision based on your lack of reviewing the tour information. Maybe you should rethink who to blame for this disappointing situation???

It was my wife and I's first sailing trip and I'm not sure how we top this experience. Capt. Mark and Zach may were fantastic. I peppered him with questions about sailing and he humored me for 2 hours! He even let me play some Christopher Cross! The price was fantastic and it was an experience we will not forget. Capt. Mark built the boat himself and you can tell how much he loves it. This is a must when you're in the Clearwater area.

Excellent cruise and staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of sailing through the gulf with Captain Mark and Zach. The cruise was relaxing and enjoyed the sunset. I highly recommend this cruise for a great family outing.
