Visitors of all ages will gain a new understanding of the world's oceans through the aquarium's ocean tanks, Octopus Garden and rock pool, where you’ll see animals never before seen in Minnesota, and learn about marine conservation. Make your way through interactive exhibits such as Claws, where you’ll find Japanese spider crabs — just one of the many crustaceans featured here. Discover coconut crabs, which use their huge claws like bolt cutters to crack open coconuts and be awed by porcupine crabs, land crabs and more as you get up-close views of how they eat. Spot clown fish and sea turtles and watch jellyfish floating inside cylindrical tanks that mimic ocean tides and currents. At the Pacific Northwest display, you can learn about sea anemones, cucumbers and sea stars. As you walk through the 300-foot-long (91-meter) tunnel, sandtiger sharks flash rows of sharp teeth above your head and cownose rays glide on the aquarium floor. Make your way to four themed tanks, starting with hundreds of sea creatures like nurse, zebra, and bamboo sharks that swim around in the Rainbow Reef tank. Marvel at green sawfish, loggerhead turtles, and guitarfish at Atlantis; see arapaima and tiger shovelnose catfish at the Amazon River; and check out alligator gar, paddlefish, and large-mouth bass at Sturgeon Lake. Passionate about preserving marine habitats and the species that live in them, the informative staff at SEA LIFE Minnesota celebrates everything about the sea. The aquarium hosts shark and ray feedings, as well as educational demonstrations throughout the day. Learn about successful breeding programs for sharks and endangered creatures like seahorses, and discover how the aquarium supports global conservation efforts.

Idk if I had thought it was way better as kid or it changed! I feel both! Things have changed, no stingrays to feel ext.. it used to be more interactive and the tunnel of aquarium w/sharks and sea life seemed longer as a child. It’s about 5yards long maybe a lil more? It also kinda scares me like it’s gonna break open! But they don’t have shows like did when I was a kid!! Way to expensive for a ticket or a pass. With the passes at least we could bring a friend or family member. She even got bored with it around 5! And we love sea life/aquariums ect!! We have a big one at home. My cousin and I had passes for the baby I had for her 9yrs ago-shes 8&1/2 & my cousin got yearly passes for all us when she was 3-5yrs old cause we hadn’t been their in forever since I was a kid! after the first year we had to it was something to do i the winter especially, and she liked it.( not after visiting other states aquariums tho so at 4yrs old they went to Seattle& California ext..) she was pissed mn didn’t have a kick ass aquarium but at MOA you can also go upstairs to the main level and go on rides or shop or eat. Or they had to start buying her an expensive stuffed. Animal from the crappy gift shop they have at underwater world-it should be called mediocre short tunnel of exotic fish MN doesn’t have! Place not world! For a world you’d think it would even compare to let’s says the DC aquarium which is not even the best one! But I’d give it 4stars! I do have a yearly pass now for myself and my baby who again because of our lil guy he’s 18mnths old, he loved it up till recently now he’s scared of it but we keep trying to get him to go threw the tunnel! We’ve had them since April of 2018-a gift and we did renew them but not my husbands since he works and it’s expensive. As a lil baby who colicky baby is take him there and it would calm down. So that helped. My 4yr old god daughter went a few times with us but now she won’t she thinks it’s lame. I try to get her to come with cause I have her a lot of the time but I have to force her&Zehra will go but wants speedy stuffed animals too or treats! But it also stinks down there b4 the tunnel ( and she always complains and i get it) and it’s gross. Seas horses are cute. Now me and the baby just have a passes! We have about 6mnths left on them(don’t think we will get them again) he’ll be a month shy of two yrs old when they will expire This time. The mall of America could have really done something cool with this. I’m so disappointed!!! I wish they would re create it or build a different kind of aquarium there and move the fish. You can’t even see everything in there! What would be cool would be to walk over the tunnel! And have the sharks fish Turtles ext.. below you! So you could see them under. A glass floor!!

I feel like they could've added more for my money. Maybe more shows or attractions. But it was fun I really enjoyed the water through the the tunnel.I would go back for that alone. ☺

If you have kids this is cool to see 1 time. They will enjoy it. But it won't be changing anytime soon and hasn't in years so not worth return visits for the price
