We are visiting our grandchildren and wanted to do something fun in the Charlotte area. When we saw the website for the Sealife aquarium we said let’s go. We were pleasantly surprised. We included in our visit to the aquarium a behind the scenes tour. It was definitely a good choice. Our guide Evan gave us an informed tour and answered all our questions. We would highly recommend a visit to the aquarium.

Decided to stop in to the aquarium while visiting the mall, on a Tuesday. Purchased tickets online and got a discount, and also, you get the Behinds the Scenes tour for a dollar (Tuesday only). The aquarium had a good number of people, but it didn't feel packed. This is the cleanest aquarium I've even been too and it was well put together. We were able to take our time and walk through and spend time at each exhibit. I think the Behind the Scenes tour runs every hour or 30 minutes, not sure. But it was great to see what the staff goes through to care and feed all the animals. My kids like the walk through tunnel and got to see the injured sea turtle. Good variety of sharks and fish. Also saw lobsters, jelly fish, etc. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely give this place a second visit.
