After pushing off the dock in Historic Little River, SC, you and your family and friends will enjoy a slow narrated tour up the picturesque Atlantic Intracoastal Water, where Bald Eagles, Ospreys, and other wildlife often make an appearance. Then out through the Little River jetties into the Atlantic Ocean to observe Bottlenose Dolphins in their natural habitat. Sea Turtles, stingrays, and other ocean life add to the excitement.

What To Expect

Little River

Seating is "First Come, First Served". Please plan on arriving 45 to 60 minutes before your trip departure for the best seat selection. Once you board the Sea Thunder and push off the dock, our friendly staff will treat you to an informative narrative of Historic Little River, SC, and the scenic Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Along the way, a host of wildlife often makes an appearance, including Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Sea Turtles, and Stingrays. Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you wish After about 15 minutes or so, you will sail out through the Jetties and into the Atlantic Ocean and the search for dolphins begins. Once located, our Captain will slow the Sea Thunder to idle speed and maneuver into position so everyone on board gets an up close and personal view. Once back on the dock, we hope you have just had the best experience of your vacation and that you have many Memories that will last a lifetime!

A fun time with friends- I tour with Sea Thunder every year and never regret it! The captain is full of energy and makes the trip more exciting! And they fulfill the promise that if you don't see a dolphin, your next ride is free (and it was a full year later that they fulfilled this promise). This is an adventure you don't want to miss! See y'all next year!

It was a fun experience. The captain was informative and funny and played good music throughout the cruise. Being on the water on such a great day, 80 degrees and sunny, was so nice. The sea was pretty smooth, and while there was a little spray, no one got soaked. We missed the osprey family but did see their nest. We passed an eagle sitting on top of a tree. We followed some dolphins and stopped for a few minutes a couple of times for pictures. Unfortunately, they were much faster than me and my pictures of them weren’t very good. The captain caught a jelly ball in a net, and let people hold or touch it if they wanted to. I was able to take its picture. We had a great time. The boat is nice and clean and the tour ws well done.

Best dolphin watch I've ever done! The waters were perfect we saw probably 15 dolphins. All the staff were friendly. I was very sad that my phone died shortly before the boat left so I didn't get any pictures.
