What To Expect

Horseshoe Bend

We will avoid the congested public parking lot for the Overlook, and will take a private dirt road which leads to within 100 meters of the edge of the canyon. From here, you will have a much shorter walk to the rim and from there be able to stroll along the side of a 1000 foot drop. The undulating sandstone provides various angles and views of the Colorado River as it meanders around a rock promontory, creating the Horseshoe Bend loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. This portion of the tour lasts approximately an hour and allows for phenomenal picture taking. From here, we will return to our office near Antelope slot canyon in Page, AZ.

Antelope canyon was amazing and beautiful. It looked like a red wave frozen in time. To get there we went off road on private land in an open vehicle over lots of winding dirt roads and hills. It was lots of fun. Horseshoe bend is really magnificent to see however there are no guard rails since it’s on private land. Our guide, Brit, told us to be very very careful. And we were. Brit also took some beautiful photographs for us that we couldn’t have done ourselves.

My wife, 6 year old daughter, and I really enjoyed the tour. The ride can get bumpy but it led to a spectacular slot canyon. And then an awesome overlook to horseshoe bend followed. Britt, our tour guide, was great and told jokes and stories about the land as well as his experiences growing up there.

Wonderful experience!! Amazing views! Family owned business and you get to learn a lot from your tour guide about the Navajo culture. Our guide was very friendly and funny too!
