What To Expect
1
Makapu'u Beach
Makapuu is located on the Ka Iwi coast of Oahu, containing the remains of a ridge that transcends the ocean below. The cliff at Makapuu Point Lookout frames the eastern tip of Oahu and is the site of a historically significant lighthouse.
2
Pele's Chair
Pele is the goddess of volcanoes and fire and is the creator of Hawaiian Islands. Situated on Oahu's south shore is a fascinating lava rock development that looks out over the ocean. In old Hawaii, this rock was referred to Kapaliokamoa, which means "the cliff of the chicken."
3
Makapu'u Heiau
Makapuu Heiau is a temple on Oahu. Near Makapuu Heiau is also a Hawaiian Monk Seal Habitat.
4
Ulupo Heiau State Monument
Ulupo Heiau on the eastern edge of Kawai Nui Marsh in Kailua, Hawaii, is a cultural site storied in legend with the menehune, yet later with the Alii of Oahu, like Kakuhihewa in the 15th century and Kualii in the late 17th century.

Our guide was Travis, so kind and easy going, but knowledgeable and professional too. He graciously led us among the fascinating Hawaiian history, starting with the significance of Iolani palace and the statue of King Kamehameha; before leaving Waikiki, we could take a look at the 'coral' church and a glimpse of Chinatown. Afterwards we climbed the hill leading to the “moving” Punchbowl Memorial. Each stop became more interesting thanks to stories and facts that Travis was sharing with us – eager to answer to each of our questions. A spectacular view over Waikiki and Diamond Head is one of our favorite memories. We even visited an ancient “heiau” (or sacred place) where locals still offer gifts to the gods - and a curious restored old fishpond.  In each of the places we visited Travis explained history and traditions of the various ethnic groups who had arrived to Hawai’i islands and some of the recent changes that are occurring still nowadays: VERY interesting!!. We would recommend this tour , not only to someone into history , but to everyone wanting to explore the heritage and history of these islands !! Thank you, Travis , for so many wonderful memories

The Pali was spectacular and unbelievably windy. Very interesting stop at Punchbowl Cemetery. Learned a lot with our guide Travis. He treated us like Obama.

Loved spending the day with Sean and learning all about Oahu and its history. The sights were breathtaking even if the day was overcast. Got to try some cocoa puffs courtesy of Sean. The little extra things he did for us made the tour even more enjoyable Highly recommend this tour and guide
