No two days are the same on this adventure, as each experience is uniquely crafted based on weather, conditions, and your preferences. With only one main road on the island, you’ll have the option to explore either the West & South or East & North sides during our time together. Most days, I guide guests through the stunning landscapes of Waimea Canyon, but the choice is yours!

Each tour is designed to be flexible, allowing for surprise stops and spontaneous moments. There’s no set itinerary, but plenty of adventure awaits!

What To Expect

Waimea Canyon State Park

Waimea Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, is a large canyon, approximately ten miles long and up to 3,000 feet deep, located on the western side of Kauaʻi in the Hawaiian Islands of the United States. Waimea is Hawaiian for "reddish water", a reference to the erosion of the canyon's red soil.

Spouting Horn

On Kauai’s South Shore you’ll find the spectacular Spouting Horn blowhole, one of the most photographed spots on Kauai. The Poipu surf channels into a natural lava tube here and releases a huge spout of water that can reach as high as 50 feet into the air. You’ll also hear a hiss and a roar that is the basis of a Hawaiian legend.

I normally don't do reviews however our tour guide DJ made this an excursion my husband and I will never forget. From the moment we stepped into his jeep. He made us feel at ease. He asked questions so he could put together an itinerary that was special to us. I had 2 places that were part of my bucket list and DJ made sure we hit both. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the island of Kauai. The 6 hours seemed to fly by as we went from one amazing place to another. He took us to places that werent even on the map that only locals would know about. My husband and I are in our 60s. DJ made us feel safe and secure wherever we went and was patient with lour slow pace. He volunteered to take photos for us and therefore we have so many pictures to document our wonderful day! I would highly recommend DJ and Kauai Jeep Tours to anyone coming to this island.

Four of us toured with Simon for the day. Arrangement of our day of choice and time of departure was easily managed. Simon arrived at our AirBnB in Kapaa on time and we requested to travel to areas of Kauai that we wouldn’t travel to with our rental van. The Jeep was a bit tight for the four of us but with the top off we all felt comfortable. Traveling with the top off allowed a great view of Kauai. Among other sites along our tour we visited: Kauai Coffee Company Waimea Canyon Polihale State Park The 900 foot water fall at Waimea Canyon was spectacular. The canyon is a breathtaking. The beach at Polihale would never have been seen without Simon and the Jeep. It’s a few miles on a dirt road not fit for standard rental cars. The beach was beautiful. Simon was very knowledgeable and provided information about Kauai that was very interesting. He was very adaptable to our tour requests and enjoyed sharing his personal experiences of living in Kauai. Bring your camera, Simon will stop at all the best areas for your photo memories. Water and a small snack were provided. A great day!!

We booked this on the last day in Kauai because our flight was at 10pm and we were all thinking, "what can this guy give us that no one else, or no where else, already has." We were pleasantly surprised by Simon. He did not over kill the little things and focused on the big things, he was very familiar with what to see and what to pass. You certainly can tell that the land is his passion both personally and professionally, which is what made the later better. He is also very witty and can handle his own when challenged. A big Thank-You to Simon for handling 3 crazy women from Potter County, PA. We will never forge you!!
