First off we booked the Gramercy Park and Players Club tour, but fortunately they called well beforehand to let us know that the Players Club would be closed on the day of our tour. So right off - great customer service! So we looked through the list and this sounded really interesting. And with Sean as our tour guide they did not disappoint! This was a fascinating mix of architecture, the rich and spoiled and bootleggers surrounded by an eclectic group of artists and the elite. Highlights included Cafe Wha, Washington Square, the scandalous murder of famed architect Stanford White, and the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. They should subtitle this tour "Making History Fun." We will no doubt return to NYC and indulge ourselves with more of their tour options.

Victoria was a wonderful guide. As it turned out, there were only 4 of us on the tour, which was nice. We visited Washington Square, Café Wha', Maire's crisis, Stonewall, the 86 building, plus much more and heard great stories about our counterculture heroes. Victoria also gave us great recommendations on restaurants, bars and night life.
