Overview

This door-to door, semi-private, modified "hop-on, hop-off" wine tasting tour service allows you to create your own itinerary in the Paso Robles Wine Country. The approximately 5+hour service picks you up, shuttles you to the winery appointments scheduled on your behalf and returns you at the end of the day. The à la carte fare offers choices from over 90 wineries in the region from which you can request for your day but does not include lunch (can be added) or tasting fees (can also be added for specific wineries). Once you’ve picked your fare, and 4 wineries from their list of wineries you’d like to request for your day, you will send them (4 priority+2 backups) at your earliest convenience. They will then create your itinerary, and make the appointments for your party, provided they can be accommodated, and take you accordingly throughout the day. Large parties (7+) have limited options for winery choices.

The tour was excellent. Our your guide went out of his way to provide a great experience. Our lunch at Opolo vineyard was fantastic and the staff at Eberle and Halster Ranch made for great tasting experiences!

We booked our tour and decided the morning of that we did not feel like going on a wine tour. We had a nice dinner and a few drinks the night before so were not ready to leave the hotel at 10am. We got a call from Joni to say she would pick us up in 20 minutes, we explained that we had a change of heart. She put Jason on the line and he explained that cancellation policy and I explained it was too early for us. He offered an 11am pick-up and we agreed. Fast forward to the tour and we had a great time. Join was a great resource and since we were the only ones on the tour we took advantage of her knowledge and she shared quite a bit of information that we took advantage of. She first took us to Aron Hill for lunch and it was marvelous. We had a nice lunch and ended up buying their rose to bring home. We also visited Croad and finally Tooth and Nail. We loved tooth and nail with its eclectic wall art, lively bar area and marvelous wines. Needless to say, we had a great time!

I think Hop On Hop Off sets up its riders to make the most fun they can from visiting and wine tasting with out the hassle of driving. I would really consider not doing an all inclusive next time, we bought so much wine I'm not sure it was necessary to pay tasting fees everywhere. But overall would do it again. I'm sure we will do it again. Thanks especially to Aiden for being knowledgable, professional, and keeping us safe.
