Hop on a cruise to Shell Key Island and see dolphins and other wildlife while snorkeling. At this pristine wildlife preserve, you'll get to snorkel and observe the wildlife, go for a relaxing swim, or just walk along the beach and collect shells. Depending on the time of year, you'll see dolphins in their natural habitat, along with manatees, rays, and wild birds.

All of our rides are semi-private, with a maximum of 6 passengers per boat, so you get to avoid the crowds when you ride with us.

Captain Joe, a very intelligent host, provided so much information about the history of wildlife in the area, damages of recent hurricanes, and many other interesting items. The boat was very clean & well taken care of. Would suggest this to anyone who wants to learn more about the area.

Maybe Captain Joe was having an off day. I see a lot of reviews that specifically call him out positively but I could not stand the guy. He was sort of rude and off-putting with how much he tried to guilt us into TripAdvisor reviews and tips, citing his struggling family several times. He also mentioned that if his wife went into labor, he would just leave us on the island and have someone else pick us up later. I wasn't amused by that. He basically did just take us to an island and drop us off so if that's what you're looking for in a tour, by all means do this one. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.

Well Lauren, I'm sorry that you "could not stand" Captain Joe, and it strikes me that no matter how polite or funny he was, you would have a problem with him. I must correct you though, because he did not drop you off on an island. He stayed with you at Shell Key for the duration, assisting you with the snorkeling gear, and advising you on the best spots for snorkeling, and shelling. The boat was there for the entire time so you could come back on for a break from the sun, and a drink. We run the trip that way every time, without exception. Making that kind of false statement, along with some of your other claims about Capt Joe, border on the incredulous. I'm wondering if perhaps maybe you were the one having an off day.
