Overview

Hop on a cruise to Shell Key Island and see dolphins and other wildlife while snorkeling. At this pristine wildlife preserve, you'll get to snorkel and observe the wildlife, go for a relaxing swim, or just walk along the beach and collect shells. Depending on the time of year, you'll see dolphins in their natural habitat, along with manatees, rays, and wild birds.

All of our rides are semi-private, with a maximum of 6 passengers per boat, so you get to avoid the crowds when you ride with us.

Great trip out to Shell Island with Island Ferry. We saw lots of Dolphins on the way out. But the best experience were the dolphins we saw at Shell island. Captain Tim was very knowledgeable, and knew all the spots to see dolphins. All in all a great day out.

I am so glad I found Island Ferry! The entire family had an awesome time on the boat. We were able to see Dolphins and found lots of beautiful shells and sand dollars!! Captain Joe did an amazing job giving us a tour, he was very knowledgeable of the area. He gave us great tips on finding our shells. He was very personal and fun. I would highly recommend that Island Ferry be part of your trip to Florida!

I’m so glad I booked this excursion with Island Ferry! My husband and two children (ages 8 and 11) and I were thoroughly pleased with everything about this trip. The boat was very clean and comfortable, in great working order, the marina we left out of was very nice as well, housing mostly yachts and larger personal boats. Our captain, Tim, was extremely personable and patient, going out of his way to find dolphins! We saw so many, at least a dozen, though maybe more, including a baby dolphin that made my daughter squeal! Shelling was very nice too, we came away with way more quality shells than we planned on, thanks to Captain Tom’s tips! All in all my only complaint was that I wished it lasted longer! Highly recommend to anyone!
