I was a bit disappointed. I told the captain this was my first time doing snorkeling, but instead of getting his crew to train me or just briefly instruct me, he said just follow your daughter. I got down the shallow water and had all sea water into my nose and eyes and it was actually another tourist who kindly and patiently showed me how it works.
And there was no safety instructions or info about where we could find life jackets, instead they told us life jackets were not mandatory. There was some rough waves going over, but no one knows where to find life jackets.
For those who know how to snorkel they may have had some fun. But out of over 50 people they only caught 2 star fish, and a couple small crabs. Maybe weather played a role.
