What To Expect

Siesta Beach

The tour begins at 1310 OldStickney Point rd. You'll be given a tutorial of the bikes then we will immediately make our way out to the shoreline and ride the entire length of Siesta Beach.

Siesta Key Village

After riding the beach we get off at Siesta Village and ride back to the beach access 12 where we started.

After returning back where we started the tour concludes with a fresh fruit, wine and cheese picnic.

Each Night at Patriot's Point a local gentleman puts on a wonderful flag lowering ceremony. Everyone is given the opportunity to call out the name of a serviceman/women past and present before hearing a rendition of taps on the bugle. We stay for this then ride the length of the beach back to where we began.

If you are in the Sarasota area, I cannot recommend this enough! Worth the price! Makes for great pictures and great memories! My Experience Derek kept in good communication with me and was quick to answer my emails, always a good sign. When I arrived with my group of 10, Derek and his assistant were setting up bikes. We didn't wait too long until Derek began to walk us through how to use bikes and what to expect. A quick ~3 min ride from the starting point and we were riding on the beach! My group and I really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it to anyone! Bike riding lasted roughly 2 hours. Riding The bikes are easy to ride, but there are brief moments when it can challenging to keep good control of them in the loose sand. If you have trouble riding a bike on normal terrain, this might not be for you. When you are riding on the beach (close to the waves), it feels like normal ground as the sand is more dense. You are riding on the dense sand for most of the tour. The nice thing about the electric bikes is, you don't even need to pedal if you don't want to. All you need to do is push off and the bike will coast for you. I got mine up to ~20mph pedaling tho :). Derek is very friendly and helpful, I can't recommend signing up for his tour enough!
