What To Expect

Siesta Beach

The tour begins at 1310 OldStickney Point rd. You'll be given a tutorial of the bikes then we will immediately make our way out to the shoreline and ride the entire length of Siesta Beach.

Siesta Key Village

After riding the beach we get off at Siesta Village and ride back to the beach access 12 where we started.

After returning back where we started the tour concludes with a fresh fruit, wine and cheese picnic.

Siesta Key

Each Night at Patriot's Point a local gentleman puts on a wonderful flag lowering ceremony. Everyone is given the opportunity to call out the name of a serviceman/women past and present before hearing a rendition of taps on the bugle. We stay for this then ride the length of the beach back to where we began.

Derek is an outstanding tour guide! My son and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this tour. The knowledge and education we gained from Derek about the area and of course the gorgeous sunset. He was so gracious to take so many pictures of us and give them to us for free. If you’re looking for a fun activity in Siesta Key, this one is a winner!

Awesome way to spend a sunset in Siesta Key! Our guides Derek & John were fun and knowledgeable. We enjoyed riding along the shore line as the sun slowly set. The flag lowering ceremony was beautiful and a fitting tribute to our wonderful country and to the vets, especially my husband who was asked to help. Also appreciated the rec for astronomy app- looking forward to trying that here and back home in NJ! Thanks!

I had scheduled the sunset e-bike tour the week before we got to Sarasota. Dereck called me because it was going to rain the night I had scheduled. Upon his suggestion we rescheduled for the Wednesday morning Myakka River State Preserve bike tour and boy were we not disappointed. Dereck and Jack were awesome guides. First they brought us through how to use the E~Bikes, then covered safety and off we went. It was a fun ride at the perfect pace for all of us, young and old. They were very informative about the history of the preserve and all the plants, birds and animals we saw. The big gators did not disappoint and were abundant on the shoreline at a safe distance. It's such a beautiful place and we covered so much more ground on the bikes than we would have on a self-guided walk. Great experience overall and I highly recommend it to anyone. Next time we are going to do the sunset tour, I'm sure it will also be a great experience. Bonus: Jack has Dog named Odie that rode along in his doggie backpack.
