What To Expect
1
Quail Springs Trail
Our first stop on our tour and maybe one of the best, Quail Springs is a playground of rocks and boulders which are said to be some of the oldest in the park, around 1.7 billion years old, much older than the dinosaur. Fun stop, great for photos and walking around some old granite boulders.
2
Banana Cracks Rock
We will take you straight to the big rocks of Hemmingway called Banana Cracks. Advanced rock climbers climb these boulders but for us we can just look at them and marvel at their beauty. Lots of beautiful Joshua Trees and giant boulders which you can walk on and take pictures.
3
Hidden Valley
Hidden Valley is the main area of Joshua Tree National Park and is full of enormous rock formations, campers, and rock climbers. We will stop here and take a walk around and explore some of the famous giant metamorphic rocks.
4
Keys View
One of the best views of Coachella Valley and the little San Bernardino mountains. Close to 5500 feet in elevation Keys View is one of the highest elevations in Joshua Tree National Park and one of the best views. Mesmerizing views of the Coachella Valley and the Transverse mountains. On a clear day you can see the Salton Sea , the San Andreas Fault lines, and Palm Springs. Incredible view.
5
Cap Rock Trail
A quick stop at Cap Rock which offers a nice easy walking area and surreal scenic views of the national park. You'll see lots of amazing formations of Joshua Trees everywhere as you walk along the trail which goes along Cap Rock.
6
Skull Rock
Skull Rock is the last stop on our Joshua Tree National Park Tour and is the most famous rock in the park. It's a great area for tourists and kids as the rocks are easy to walk or jump around, and the main attraction is this one giant boulder that looks like a Skull. Great place for some cool photos.

Our tour of Joshua Tree National Park was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we met our guide Spencer, it was clear we were in for a special experience. Spencerā€™s deep knowledge of the parkā€™s history, geology, and wildlife made every stop along the way incredibly engaging. Not only was he experienced and passionate, but he also had a great sense of humor and a knack for making our family feel welcome and involved. We explored breathtaking rock formations, hidden trails, and iconic Joshua trees while learning fascinating facts and stories that brought the landscape to life. Whether it was pointing out unique desert plants, sharing local legends, or ensuring we got the perfect photo op, Spencer truly went above and beyond to make the day unforgettable. If youā€™re looking for an adventure thatā€™s both fun and informative, this is the tour to take! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Joshua Treeā€”whether itā€™s your first time or your tenth! Make sure to ask for Spencerā€¦he was absolutely the BEST!!
