A beautiful zoo well kept, and nicely laid out. The animals have very nice habitats that are very natural looking. We were pleasantly surprised at how well thought out it was in respect to plant life and trees. While enjoying the animals there is plenty of shade. You feel like you are walking thru a forest at times. Anyone who is a nature lover would truly appreciate this stop.

Wow! We felt like we were at the Animal Kingdom at Disney. What a well kept gorgeous zoo. Online admission and interactive map was easy to use. Zip line was so much fun! The carousel was a hit too. Look for the wild restrooms - something we never experienced! The petting of the goats and kangaroos were also a hit for us. We loved the homes this zoo made for the animals. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Definitely worth visiting when in Nashville with little ones to teens.

I guess I'm spoiled growing up in Memphis and going to the zoo there. The Nashville zoo is aesthetically beautiful, however they just don't have enough animals. There are NO: elephants, chimps, gorillas, hippos, polar bears, sea lions, penguins, lions, panda bears, wolves, or camels, just to no name a few. I was so disappointed that a wealthy major city like Nashville, the home of country music, has such a poor zoo. However, on the bright side they do have about 40 acres of undeveloped land. So there is hope for the future.
