What a wonderful visit we had with our 4 year old grandson & his family. There were so many things to see and touch that ALL of us enjoyed the tie spent there. The Touch Tanks" to the dinosaur trail to the live animals indigenous to Virginia; they were all fantastic. AND IT ONLY COST $20.00 for adults & $15 for kids over 2. We enjoyed the entire visit and HIGHLY recommend it for rain or shine! You will have a GREAT time!

Had a couple of hours to kill and stopped at the Virginia Living Museum. What a wonderful place. Our grandson, 1.5 years, absolutely loved looking and touching all of the exhibits. The dinosaurs were his favorite, but the aquariums and other displays were equally enjoyed. Did not see a lot of animals in the outdoor walk path, but that could be that we visited in the late afternoon and they were hiding. Nevertheless, the place is a lot of fun and all of us enjoyed our visit.

My dad and 8 year old nephew accompanied my 22 month old granddaughter and I. We made it just in time for the coral reef show in the planetarium. If your kids like finding Nemo, They will enjoy watching the movie on the dome shaped ceiling in stationary, reclined seats. The sound effects are great! I think they can do a little more work on the Children’s Garden to increase the fun and learning experience. The rest of the museum was amazing to walk through and spend time within the various stations. I enjoyed both the indoor and the outdoor viewing. The kids were well occupied the entire time and were especially engaged in the hands-in activity venues.
