Overview

This relaxed and scenic 7-mile roundtrip journey departs the Depot in downtown Fort Bragg year-round, traveling along the beautiful Pudding Creek Estuary and passing into primeval ancient redwoods to the tranquil setting of Glen Blair Junction.

Trains will stop at Glen Blair Junction for 15 minutes, allowing you to get off and stretch your legs and explore. Or, if you’d like to spend more time walking our trails amongst the redwoods, you can remain and catch the next train (roughly two hours later). Plenty of time to explore. Feel free to bring a packed lunch (no alcohol, please) to enjoy at one of our picnic tables.

These were some of the first tracks ever laid down by the California Western Railroad in 1885, and we've been carrying passengers on them ever since.

Short ride on an old train into the redwoods, with a 45 minute stop that allows you to hike into nature or just enjoy sitting with friends or family in a covered pavilion. great for all ages, accessible for all. Worth the trip.

The commentary talks about a 1 hour train ride. Actually the train ride is only 15 minutes each way on the very short, flat ride. Then you get off in the woods for 45 minutes to walk around. A real disappointment.

This was a fun adventure for my husband, myself and our dog. We looked for a fun yet somewhat active tour and nailed it. We rode on the old railroad tracks by peddling our tandem e-bike. Our dog loved it too (I think cause he didn't say otherwise) There was a nice stop 1/2 way and a lovely lunch was provided by the tour. The weather was perfect, and I would do it again. It is very easy to do, peddle assist, so honestly you can put in whatever effort you want. The Skunk Team of Johnny and Ember were professional and excellent-
