We had a fabulous time going dog sledding. Elaine was our guide & musher and she was very knowledgeable, personable, and thoughtful. It was pretty cold the day we went (around 16 below zero Fahrenheit) and we didn't want to go out for too long; the 30 minute sampler trip was perfect. Because it was the last outing of the day, Elaine even let me feed a snack to the dogs. (The dogs were all adorable too!) The office has some gear that you can borrow (like gators, coats etc) and we didn't need anything but goggles and the sled on blankets and pillows. We enjoyed talking to Trevor and seeing the photos of Susan Howlet Butcher who won the Iditarod in 1986 and also won 4 consecutive times. All in all a very memorable time.

So pleased with this!! The team made sure every one in the group would be properly layered and warm before setting out. After getting settled in and we were off and it was just purely magical gliding through the snow. Our musher was giving us information about the dogs throughout the ride which was exactly what we were looking for so I feel I have a bit more knowledge on the subject now! Once back, we were able to love on the dogs and get some more pics! It was such a great tour, with amazing people extremely dedicated to this, that I highly recommend it!! ā¤ļø
