The beauty of this plantation is bar none, exquisite. The live oaks are the real show. Stunning landscaping. This is mostly an educational experience of slavery and sugar cane. All three go hand in hand, you cannot have one without the other two. The guides do a wonderful job of explaining all three with honesty. It was a brutal way to exist. My children learning that the stunning beauty before them, was built by the horrible ugliness in the fields. Its important to remember the good, the bad and the ugly of life during these times so we never repeat them.
