What To Expect

Boulder City

Start your tour with pick-up from select hotels on Las Vegas Blvd. Heading east, you'll arrive at historic Boulder City, a town built originally to house the workers of the Hoover Dam. This is where it all started! Discover the history of this quaint little town on the outskirts of Las Vegas!

Hemenway Park

You will make a short stop at Hemenway Park, well known for where Desert Big Horn Sheep hang out!

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

You'll stop at Lake Mead Lookout for an amazing panoramic view of Lake Mead and learn about the history of the lake and its present troubles and other interesting facts.

Hoover Dam Bypass

Next, you'll make a stop at the Hoover Dam bypass Bridge (Mike O’Callagham - Pat Tillmam Bridge) where you have the opportunity to walk up to the bridge, almost a 1000ft above the Dam. Here, you'll enjoy an incredible view of the Dam and Colorado River. Your tour guide will tell you interesting facts and how the the Hoover Dam was constructed. This is a view not to be missed!

Hoover Dam

Enjoy a drive over the top of the Hoover Dam. You'll make stops at various points for more info and photo ops of the dam and Lake Mead. After this mini Hoover Dam tour, you'll return to the Las Vegas Strip.

Seven Magic Mountains

Upgrade your Hoover Dam tour to include a stop at the Ugo Rondinone art installation in the middle of the Mojave Desert. These colorful stacked rocks make for the most instagrammable moments in Las Vegas!

A perfect outside tour of the dam. Since it was three hours it didn't tie up the whole day. Chris provided excellent narration and general information about the Vegas area. We're glad we went and would recommend it to everyone.

Couldn’t have been a better trip. Our tour guide was excellent. From the time of pickup to the end of the tour back at the hotel. She started by pointing out many interesting buildings and facts about Vegas as we left for the tour on the bus. She has a cooker of water iced down for anyone needing a drink. The first stop was to see the mountain sheep in Boulder City. I tried to upload photos but it wouldn’t take them. Then on to the pedestrian bridge at the dam bypass. WARNING: This requires a bit of stair climbing and walking to get to the top for those who have trouble with mobility. There are switchback ramps but they are pretty long. Nevertheless, the view was spectacular some 800 plus feet above the dam. Lots of great views and photos. Our guide offered to take several photos of my wife and I at every stop. Next down to the Dan itself. Drove down across the bridge and to a lookout point on the north side of the dam. Spectacular views and photo opportunities. It’s a shame to see the water levels in such decline due to climate change. The water line is evident of where it was 40 years ago which is some 150 plus feet below this highest level in the 80’s. The tour concluded but our guide continued to answer all questions and point out additional information about the dam and Las Vegas itself. The sort tour was perfect for us. They do offer a six hour version with trips down into the dam itself if you have the time. Overall. Can’t sY enough good things about our tour guide and the tour overall. I wish all companies offered customer service as good as hers.
