What To Expect

Boulder City

Start your tour with pick-up from select hotels on Las Vegas Blvd. Heading east, you'll arrive at historic Boulder City, a town built originally to house the workers of the Hoover Dam. This is where it all started! Discover the history of this quaint little town on the outskirts of Las Vegas!

Hemenway Park

You will make a short stop at Hemenway Park, well known for where Desert Big Horn Sheep hang out!

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

You'll stop at Lake Mead Lookout for an amazing panoramic view of Lake Mead and learn about the history of the lake and its present troubles and other interesting facts.

Hoover Dam Bypass

Next, you'll make a stop at the Hoover Dam bypass Bridge (Mike O’Callagham - Pat Tillmam Bridge) where you have the opportunity to walk up to the bridge, almost a 1000ft above the Dam. Here, you'll enjoy an incredible view of the Dam and Colorado River. Your tour guide will tell you interesting facts and how the the Hoover Dam was constructed. This is a view not to be missed!

Hoover Dam

Enjoy a drive over the top of the Hoover Dam. You'll make stops at various points for more info and photo ops of the dam and Lake Mead. After this mini Hoover Dam tour, you'll return to the Las Vegas Strip.

Seven Magic Mountains

Upgrade your Hoover Dam tour to include a stop at the Ugo Rondinone art installation in the middle of the Mojave Desert. These colorful stacked rocks make for the most instagrammable moments in Las Vegas!

Melissa, our guide was a doll. It was so nice of her to take pics of families for the group. She was very knowledgeable. We have 10 and 12 year olds and my husband and I like to stop and go, so for a family with short attention spans, this mini tour guide was perfect. And not driving made the day so much less stressful. Check when you get on the van because we got on the wrong one and didn’t know until Melissa called me. There may be several vans from the same company at your pickup location. All in all, definitely recommend!

Our tour guide, Chris, was extremely knowledgeable! He gave a true picture of Las Vegas and provided lots of historical details about the Hoover Dam and it’s construction. Would absolutely recommend!

Victor, our driver, was a gem! Made us all feel welcome, told us a lot about history of the towns and water issues. He even shared his personal story of how he came to work in Vegas (fascinating!). We stopped at three different places and got a good overview of the dam, and seeing the big horn sheep up close was a great experience. We only had 20 minutes average at each stop but it was enough to get out there and see the landscape.
